· Prior Collection and/or Subrogation experience is preferred.
· Leadership and/or business management experience is desired but not required.
*Role and Responsibilities:*
Responsible for providing support to senior attorneys, legal guidance to office staff, handling litigation matters, ensuring compliance with applicable laws/regulations, & determining the best course of action to efficiently reach our clients' goals.
*Duties and Responsibilities:*
· Appear for Hearings
· Appear for Trials
· Appear for Meditations
· Conduct Depositions
· Review outgoing and incoming pleadings and other legal documents.
· Provide legal direction for case handling.
· Provide legal guidance to office support staff.
· Communicate with Clients regarding case activities.
· Communicate with Clients regarding settlement offers.
· Negotiate settlements of civil disputes.
· Supervise legal assistants.
· Prepare legal briefs and opinions, and file appeals in state and federal courts of appeal.
· Gather evidence to formulate defense or to initiate legal actions.
· Make suggestions for improving office procedures & increasing efficiency.
*Qualifications and Education Requirements*
· Member of The Florida Bar in good standing
· Valid Florida Driver's License
