*Position Title:* Nurse Practitioner *Location:* Ascension Island *Department:* Medical Services *Education:* MS in Nursing (MSN), NP Certificate, NP Licensure MS in Physician's Assistant, PA Licensure *Job Description:* Provide professional medical care to patients in a base clinic setting.
Develop, implement, and maintain preventive care medical plans.
Participate in teams as needed to solve medical issues.
Maintain government medical records as required in performance of duties.
*Place of Performance is at Ascension Island.

Excellent interpersonal communications skills.
*Duties & Responsibilities:* * Perform medical care for all Ascension Auxiliary Airfield personnel.
* Provide medical care, diagnosis, treatment, and preventive health care services.
* Assess patient’s health needs, diagnose problems and determine treatment plan.
* Develop and implement nursing care for the treatment of acute illness and injury while assisting island hospital physicians.
* Determine if treatment plan requires outpatient care.
* Maintain medical records, * Assist patients in complying with prescribed medical regimen.
* Provide 24/7 Advanced Life Support services.
* Perform related duties as required.
*Physical Requirements:* Standing 1-6 hrs.
