Our team is excited to meet you! Your Role: What you'll be doing United Launch Alliance (ULA) seeks a skilled Subcontract Management Specialist to support the Launch Operations team at Cape Canaveral, FL.
Directs and manages all cost, schedule, and technical performance requirements that are levied on the subcontractor or the product family and is required to ensure performance and support of the contract milestones.
Assists in the development of subcontract specifications, work statements, and other technical requirements documents.
Serves as a focal point to the subcontractor.
Briefs executive management and customers on the status and issues affecting subcontract performance or cost.
Conducts and/or supports program reviews with the subcontractor and ULA Customer Program office.
Responsible for and directs all phases of the subcontract from Statement of Work development through requests for proposals, subcontract management plans, negotiation strategy, and cost accountability.
Makes decisions affecting the performance of the subcontractor.
Establishes milestone objectives and manages performance to committed schedules and contractual specifications.
Analyze prospective procurements to develop strategies that will secure the best value for ULA Identify and resolve supply chain constraints, working with internal stakeholders and suppliers to develop executable, cost-effective solutions The primary role of a ULA Subcontract Management Specialist 3 within the Launch Operations team is to facilitate purchasing activities for the acquisition of complex products and services required by the enterprise with a focus on integrated Supply Chain strategy and Project Execution.
As a member of the high-performing Launch Operations team, successful execution of Subcontract Management Specialist 3 responsibilities requires working collaboratively within the team to develop and communicate project requirements and execution expectations to suppliers, optimizing value for ULA.
Your Background: What education and experience you'll need Requires a bachelor’s degree and 4 - 8 years of experience.
Your Background: What skills you'll need A Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university is required.
Degree in Business, Supply Chain or related field is preferred 4 to 8 years experience in Supply Chain or a Business function/discipline Experience in Supply Chain, Procurement or Business Experience with purchasing policies and Procedures Background in Supply Chain purchasing and management of complex hardware and construction services is preferred.
