We are looking for a happy, energetic assistant toddler teacher to join our team of toddler teachers to help our toddlers developmentally through facilitating the exploration of their environment.
Our one year old classroom has three teachers in the classroom to help each other with our littles.
No one works alone at our school and we each help each other to make it the best possible environment for the children and staff.
This position is part-time Monday through Friday 11:00 to 5:30 pm except every other Friday is 8:30 am to 5:30 pm.

The goal is to create happy learning moments with our toddlers so that they can progress to the next stage of development.
We are happy to train prospective candidates and provide professional development so that every employee feels equipped to be successful.
All employees must have or be willing to obtain the State of Florida/DCF minimum training (45 hours).
*Responsibilities*
* Assist the team to manage a safe and creative environment suitable for toddlers (1 to 2 years of age).
* Employ a variety of educational techniques (storytelling, educational play, media, singing, dancing, etc.
) to work with toddlers.
* Assist the team to observe each child to understand where they are developmentally and to determine how to help them progress to the next stage of development.
* Encourage social interactions among toddlers.
* Organize nap and snack hours and supervise toddlers to ensure they are safe at all times.
* As directed, track toddlers' progress and report to parents.
* As directed, communicate with parents regularly to understand the toddlers' backgrounds and needs.
* Collaborate with other educators.
* Maintain a clean and tidy classroom consistent with health and safety standards.
* Attend to the physical needs of toddlers (toileting, diapering, hand washing, self-feeding, etc.
)
* Must be able to lift 25 lbs.

*Skills*
* Toddler experience preferred, however, a candidate with an outgoing personality and drive will be a welcomed addition to our team.

* Cool-tempered, friendly and reliable.
* Certification in child CPR preferred, however, can be obtained after hire.
