POSITION DESCRIPTION: Answers and routes telephone calls, takes messages, and answers general questions.
Greets guests and directs them to the appropriate personnel.
Assists with scheduling meetings and processes office documentation as necessary.
Operates a variety of standard office equipment such as fax, copiers, scanners, and computers.
Prepares, organizes, and distributes materials including mail, supplies, and other office equipment.
Maintains and organizes records, filing systems and inventory through the use of Department tracking and data management file system.
Serves as Unit Training Coordinator with inputting training requests/certificates and Property Custodian with maintaining and transferring of equipment, requesting decals, conducting annual inventory scanning, and processing surplus property requests.
Assists with Professional Engineer Training Program including meeting document preparation, maintains training schedules, updating photo board and SharePoint website.
Serves on and supports special event committees such as Safety Coordinator, Employee Orientation, and Awards and Recognition as needed.
Assists in Emergency Operation Recovery Efforts.
Prepares travel requests and reimbursements in accordance with policies and procedures.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: Knowledge of general office procedures and practices.
Knowledge of the techniques for effectively dealing with people.
Knowledge of correct grammar usage.
