Principle Responsibilities and Duties * Receive inbound calls and make outbound calls while consistently following the company’s collection call model and techniques.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
* Ability to change quickly with the needs of a growing company.
* Ability to multi-task by speaking with defendants and typing notes simultaneously.
* Speak clearly, concisely and effectively; listen to, and understand information and ideas as presented verbally.
* Ability to negotiate payment arrangements while maintaining a manner which shows sensitivity, tact, and professionalism.
* Process credit card and/or ACH requests accurately.
* Consistently and accurately document all information pertaining to accounts.
* Ability to perform basic skip-tracing tasks which include following company’s skip-tracing matrix in order to contact our customer.
* Read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies and/or procedures.
* Knowledge of FDCPA standards and state laws.
* Follow written and/or verbal instructions.
* Meet monthly individual goals as set by the Department Manager.
* Successfully complete company’s training and certifications.
* Ability to refer to policy and procedures when applying information and making decisions.
* Maintain productivity measures put in place to monitor dollars collected * Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements and Preferred Qualifications * Preferred but not required: Minimum 1 year of experience in a call center / collections * Handle continuous inbound/outbound phone calls on a dialer * MS Outlook including email, calendar, use of phone, multiple computer programs simultaneously, calculator, MS Excel * Must type 40-50 words per minute * Strong written, verbal, active listening and phone communication skills.
* Ability to communicate effectively and in a professional manner.
* Ability to plan, organize, prioritize and multi-task.
* Solutions-driven.
* Superior communication skills needed * Excellent organizational, problem solving, and negotiation skills * Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages).
* Ability to use standard office equipment.
Basic computer skills, ability to use a keyboard and calculator.
